THS Band Picked To March In Inaugural Parade

TUPELO (WCBI) – The Tupelo High School Band is getting set to trade Cliff Gookin for Pennsylvania Avenue.

Senator Roger Wicker told band leaders this afternoon that THS has been picked to represent Mississippi in the Inaugural Parade.   Details on the trip are just now being discussed including a budget and how band boosters plan to launch fundraising efforts to pay for the journey.  This is not the first time  Tupelo Band members have made the journey. The school also played the parade in 1989.
