Tishomingo Co. Sheriff’s Office Makes Drug Arrests Over Holiday Weekend

TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On July 4th, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR-75 due to no license plate being displayed on the vehicle.

As the deputy was speaking with the driver, the deputy noticed the driver was attempting to conceal something in his mouth.

The deputy asked the driver what was he doing and the driver handed the deputy a clear bag which contained some alleged methamphetamine.  The deputy then arrested the driver and transported him to the Tishomingo County Jail.

22-year-old Joseph Dalton Ables of Dennis, was officially charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.  Ables’ bond was set at $5,000.00 by Justice Court.

 

On July 1, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a missing person call around the area of CR-293.  When the deputies arrived in the area, they noticed several people were there and some appeared to the be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

The reported missing person was located by the deputies there, and while speaking to this individual, the deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside of one the vehicles.

          JOHNSEY

One of the occupants of that particular vehicle admitted to the deputies of possessing marijuana and a further search of said vehicle yielded some alleged methamphetamine.

At this time, the owner of the vehicle was arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

22-year-old Samantha Johnsey of Rienzi was officially charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Johnsey’s bond was set by Justice Court.
