Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office Makes Two Arrests

TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On July 22, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call of a Burglary at a residence close to Aqua Yacht Harbor area of Tishomingo County.

According to the victim, the alleged Suspect entered into the

residence and assaulted the victim while there.

It was determined through the initial investigation that the victim and the alleged Suspect had a prior relationship with each other.

Deputies were able to find the alleged Suspect close to the victim’s residence where he was brought to the Tishomingo County Jail.

Jerry Dale Phippen, 55-year-old, white male, of Iuka, Mississippi was charged with burglary of a dwelling and had a bond set at $30.000.00 for the charge.

Phippen also faces misdemeanor charges in relation to violating a Protection Order.

 

Also, on July 22, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department arrested Randall Steven Whirley, of Iuka, Mississippi for being in possession of a firearm, which Whirley could not have due to his

probation status with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Whirley was picked up at the Iuka MDOC office and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail by deputies.

Randall Steven Whirley, 42-year-old, white male, 225 CR 176 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

No bond has been set for Whirley.

MDOC has also placed a hold on the Suspect.
