Tishomingo deputies searching for escaped inmate

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department is searching for an inmate that ran off from a work detail Friday.

Stephen Hancock was last seen running into the woods while with a road crew picking up trash on CR 958 in Tishomingo County.

He was last seen wearing his Tishomingo County issued orange pants and orange shirt with Tishomingo County Jail printed on the back of the shirt.

Hancock has been in Tishomingo County Jail since March after being charged with a misdemeanor domestic violence offense by the city of Booneville.

He is not considered armed or dangerous, but deputes advise to use caution if anyone sees Hancock and to immediately call 911.
