Tornado relief donation drive to be held in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville residents will have the chance to help out those affected by last week’s severe weather.

Project Gift through Southwire is collecting items for Hamilton tornado victims.

Donations can be dropped off at Walmart Super Center on Hwy 12 on Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Items needed for donations: 

Paper Goods:

• Toilet tissue
• Paper towels
• Paper plates

Cleaning supplies:

• Rakes
• Mops
• Brooms
• Gloves
• Garbage bags
• Tarps
• Cleaning products
• Sprayers

Snack Items:

• Individually packaged

Beverages:

• Bottled water
• Energy drinks

Hygiene products:

• Shampoo
• Soap
• Feminine hygiene
• Adult diapers

Baby Items:

• Diapers
• Formula
• Baby food
• Nursery water

Ready to eat food:

• Nonperishable items
• Cans with pop-top lids
