A Traffic Stop To Remember

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Area law enforcement received some extra special help today, November 16, while making a traffic stop.

At the Columbus Soccer Complex he rode with Columbus police, Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department’s K-9 unit and a Mississippi Highway Patrolman to see first hand how a traffic stop is done on the streets.

Former Columbus officer Keith Worsham met Goodwin as a volunteer with the ACT Center in Columbus and the Special Olympics and helped arrange today’s ride with officers.

“I think that it’s important for specially abled individuals to reconnect with the community in every way whether it’s law enforcement, the fire department, or just a regular job. They want to be treated as equals and I think they are equal,” says Worsham.

Goodwin is also known for his extensive knowledge and presidential history.
