Video: Trent Kelly Talks to Lowndes County Voters

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss.(WCBI) — One of the candidates for the 1st congressional seat was in Lowndes County tonight, trying to rack up some last minute votes.

Republican Trent Kelly was at the Steens Supper Club shaking hands and getting to know people in the district.

Kelly says his strategy for the run off remains the same, get people to the polls.

“Right now it’s the same as the 1st race. We just need all my voters to turnout. Voter turnout is going to be the key, just like it was in the last election, and it was a little bit low in the last. So, we just ask that everyone just go vote, and exercise their constitutional right,” says Kelly.

Kelly is running against Democrat Walter Zinn.
