Truck Catches Fire On Icy Road

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – There are no injuries. But the truck didn’t fare so well.

The driver of a truck on Highway 25 south pulled over just in time.

The truck caught fire and one tire even exploded.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol worked the fire, along with volunteers from District 5 in Oktibbeha County, blocking northbound traffic until the fire was extinguished.

Investigators believe a mechanical malfunction may have led to the fire.
