Tupelo Police Make 3 Arrests in Sunday Shooting

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) –Tupelo Police are investigating a late Sunday morning shooting.

Just before Noon, officers were called to Nathaniel Place Apartments, the former Barley Court, for a report of shots fired.

Police report that 3 men, Paris Buchanan, Dontae Randle, and Quatavious Gates had argued with Kinta Johnson.

Buchanan reportedly took a gun from Randle and shot at Johnson. He missed, but hit a vehicle with 3 small children in the back seat. The three men left the scene.

Officers caught up with them in Verona. All three were arrested, and 2 firearms were recovered.

The incident is still under investigation.
