Two Monroe Co. Men Arrested on Drug Charges

MONROE CO., Miss. – (WCBI) A routine traffic stop on Highway 23 in Smithville lands two Monroe county men behind bars.

18-year old Nicholas Blake Rogers of Amory and 20-year old Melvin Enoch Livingston of Smithville were pulled over by Monroe County deputies on Saturday.

Investigators say a search of the car turned up enough marijuana that both men were charged with possession with intent to sale. Authorities also recovered a set of digital scales.

Agents with the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit assisted in this arrest.
