Two Women Arrested For Ice On The Same Day In Unrelated Incidents

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – What’s cooler than being cool? Not ice.

And after finding something icy in the dead of summer during a traffic stop, police officers make arrests in two unrelated incidents.

Columbus Police arrested 24-year-old Haeven Myranda Johnson of Columbus.

On Tuesday night, officers pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of MLK and 15th avenue north driven by Johnson.

A search of her vehicle turned up ice, the purest form of methamphetamine.

Johnson was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and bond was set at $5,000 dollars.

Officers arrested 23-year-old Amber Paige Ballard of Caledonia several hours later that same night.

During another traffic stop at the intersection of 9th street south and College Street, Columbus police also found ICE in *her* car.

Ballard was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, and her bond was set at $5,000 dollars.
