[jwplatform 5mZksg38]TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Customers at one Tupelo restaurant had celebrity waiters Tuesday evening.

For about three hours Tuesday evening, the Harvey’s restaurant in Tupelo was the site of a benefit for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Diners were waited on by local celebrities, such as Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton, Fire Chief  Thomas Walker, American Family Radio Morning Host J J Jasper, Radio Personality Craig Horton, Miss Historic South Randi Kathryn Harmon, and former MSU quarterback Tyler Russell.

All tips collected during the benefit will go to St Jude Children’s Hospital. For some, it was their first time waiting tables.

“When I first got here I thought it was going to be really hard, didn’t know what to expect, and I was really nervous, but it was fun, I had a great time, just seeing everybody and just having a good time,” Russell said.

WCBI’s Allie and Alyssa Martin also took part. There were also some St Jude and MSU items for sale or auction
