Union County Man Dies After Being Hit By Car

UNION COUNTY (WCBI) – A Blue Springs man is dead after being hit by a vehicle Thursday night.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says 44 year old Timothy Hampton was helping direct traffic around a disabled tractor on Highway 348 near Ellistown when he was hit.

Hampton was flown to a Memphis hospital where he died from his injuries today.

Troopers continue to investigate the 6:30 PM accident.
