United Way Kicks-off Fall Campaign

LOWNDES CO, Miss. (WCBI)-The United Way of Lowndes County is kicking off it’s Fall campaign, this time with a bigger fundraising goal in mind.

A campaign kick-off event was held at the Baptist Golden Triangle conference center, Thursday Morning.

Representatives from each United Way agency, set up information booths, to showcase how they help the community. More than 80 people were there.

Campaign coordinators got the chance to network, and learn more about how the United Way helps other departments.

“We the United Way, serve as an umbrella that these agencies are under, so that we all work together,” said Dr. Stan McCrary, United Way Executive Board President.  “As we love to say in the United Way, we all love to live united.”

This year’s goal is to raise $550,000.
