Unity program held at Tupelo ICC campus

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – An annual celebration of Black History Month at the Tupelo ICC campus featured music, and an inspirational message from one of the college’s newest staff members.

The Unity Program, celebrating Black History Month, featured the college’s director of admissions and registrar, Robert Solomon.

He encouraged students to never put a limit on their dreams and aspirations.

“The only thing that limits you is your inability to dream and your lack of hard work, and the ability to serve is very important. It is so important for us to understand we all can serve, therefore, if we can serve, we can also lead,” said Solomon.

The Black History Program is sponsored by the Student Government Association.

A celebration of Black History Month takes place this evening at the Fulton campus.
