Upcoming Charity Ball Helps Thousands Of Children Throughout Northeast Mississippi

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A fundraiser that helps thousands of children is less than a month away, and organizers were able to give a sneak peek of some of the food for the big event.

The 56th annual Junior Auxiliary of Tupelo Charity Ball promises a night of glitz, glamour, and feathers.

The theme for the event is “Gatsby Gala.”

Junior Auxiliary members had a preview of some of the decorations and the food at Tupelo’s Park Heights restaurant during a luncheon.

It was also an opportunity to review the programs made possible by the annual Charity Ball.

“The money raised throughout the season for this goes to fund everything we do. All of our service projects, so if you buy a ticket to this, or you’re a sponsor, you’re actually helping to feed a child that needs it. Clothe a child who is in need, tutor, we do all kinds of service projects to benefit the children of Tupelo and Lee County and this is the way we fund it,” said Annabeth Wyatt, chairman for the JA of Tupelo Charity Ball.

The event also features “Living Ads” along with the award for “Outstanding Citizen of the Year.”
