UPDATE: Arrest made in Starkville homicide investigation

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – An arrest has been made in a homicide investigation in Starkville.

One man is behind bars Sunday night, in connection to a deadly shooting that happened on Friday night.

Starkville Police Department Public Information Officer Corporal Brandon Lovelady said Henry Neal, Jr., 27, of Starkville was arrested and charged Saturday night.

Neal was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder.

Police responded to a shots fired call Friday night at West Main Arms apartments at the intersection of West Main Street and South Long Street.

That’s where officers found a man dead in the driver’s seat of a vehicle from a gunshot wound.

The victim’s name or a motive isn’t known at this time.
