The child died after he was shot inside a Florence Street home.   Early indications are the shooting is accidental but currently the case is being termed as a death investigation.   Police say the child was visiting the residence where the shooting took place and that several other children were also on the scene. They are all meeting with Columbus Police to provide information on what exactly happened.

Officers have recovered an AR-15 weapon from the home but are not saying if that is the weapon involved in the shooting.
