UPDATE- MSU Returning To Normal Following Bomb Threat

MSU (WCBI) – Most of the Mississippi State campus is back to normal operating conditions following an afternoon bomb threat.   MSU activated its Maroon Alert System just after 4 asking students in certain areas to evacuate to Allen Hall because of a safety alert.

Spokesman Sid Salter says that’s when the threat mentioning a specific time and place was received by the school.  The school’s Crisis Action team  orchestrated the response including a search of parts of the campus with bomb sniffing dogs.    Movement on the campus was limited for about an hour but is now back to normal except for the Mitchell Memorial Library where access is still limited.
