Video: UPDATE – Victim Of Columbus Motorcycle Crash Identified

COLUMBUS – (WCBI) – Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant has identified the man killed in  Tuesday afternoon motorcycle crash in Columbus.

51 year old Duane Alan Childers of Irontown, Ohio died when he lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 82 near the 18th Avenue exit.  The bike jumped a guardrail, hit a road sign and then crashed into a wooded area. The impact of the crash sparked a grass fire that crews had to get under control.   Merchant says Childers was currently living in Marion Mississippi while working at a Meridian manufacturing plant.
