HAMILTON, Miss. (WCBI)-A make shift road is being constructed in a swampy area to allow passage for the FAA to reach a plane crash site.

Alabama resident Ricky Ford’s small plane crashed late last Friday night behind the Tronox plant in Hamilton.

Amazingly, Ford only escaped with a just few scratches on his arm.

Authorities tell us he landed in Louisville to fill up, but he was not able to get fuel and took off anyway.

It was shortly after that, when his plane crashed.

The FAA is expected to make it to the plane tomorrow.
