USDA expands online SNAP benefits in Mississippi

The USDA has expanded it’s online SNAP benefits to the state of Mississippi.

Mississippi sent in a request for online purchasing of food for those households who utilize the SNAP program.

That request was approved Wednesday.

This will allow Mississippi to speed up the process of getting online purchasing ready for retailers.

Over 195,000 households are a part of Mississippi’s SNAP program.
