FULTON, Miss. (WCBI)-Fulton has appointed a long-time employee as the new city manager. 27 year veteran, Stacy Smith was appointed the position after a lengthy executive session last week. Smith’s new job duties and responsibilities are not final but he will have authority over the city’s other utilities departments. Fulton Mayor Lynette Weatherford says Smith’s new position will better utilize his knowledge of both his job and state law. The Fulton board felt like they needed someone to oversee everything.
