Video: Aberdeen Residents Carry a Message of Peace Through the City

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) -“Stop the violence” that was the message in Aberdeen Monday evening.

An area church organized a march in memory of Quinton Walker- the Aberdeen teen who was killed this past weekend.

The march started in Aberdeen at Martin Luther King Street to Clay Street, the location where Walker’s body was found.

Pastor Cedric Doss,Sr. says that city leaders and residents need to come together to find a solution to end the crime in their city.

“So everybody in the city of Aberdeen can come out and stand as an army against violence in this area. To lose a young person who hadn’t yet had the chance to grown into a grown man, little Quen who lost his life to senseless violence is to bring us together and show that we have to stand as a community of people to come together and try to prevent these things from happening.”

Doss says they hope to plan more events like this one in the future.
