Video: Area Honor Guard Gets Uniforms

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – The Starkville Police Department Honor Guard has uniforms.

Members showed the new look to the public and media today. It’s the first time they’ve had uniforms.

People raised $20,000 for them through a raffle in 2015. Leaders say the help from the Starkville office of Modern Woodman was a critical.

“We are very appreciative because without the help of Mrs. Barbara Coats and Mr. Bart Williams, I don’t think none of this would have been possible,” Sergeant Chad Williams said.

The Honor Guard is used at ceremonial activities.
