VIDEO: Baptist Hospital Golden Triangle Donates To Humane Society

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss.(WCBI) – The saying goes “sharing is caring” and Baptist Hospital Golden Triangle is putting the phrase into use.

Tuesday, September, 19, Baptist Hospital Golden Triangle made it’s first donation of unusable patient gowns, sheets and blankets to the Lowndes County Humane Society.

The hospital usually throws the unusable items away due to strain or excessive wear.

Public Relations Representative Megan Pratt says the hospital is interested in supporting the community and the Humane Society pets are included in that.

“We have an obligation to support our community and we try to do that in various ways. This animal shelter is so important to Lowndes County and Columbus. We know that they are not humans here but the animals that are here need our support as well,” said Pratt.

Baptist Hospital Golden Triangle hopes this gesture will encourage other local businesses to donate used or unusable items to assist the humane society.
