STURGIS, Miss. (WCBI) — Bikers are once again descending on the tiny Oktibbeha County town of Sturgis.

The Sturgis Bike Rally drawing thousands is expected to grow the town population wise between now and Sunday morning when the event ends.

This is the second year for the bike rally since a three-year hiatus.

Bikers and their beautiful motorcycles are beginning to fill the streets of Sturgis.

Among them, a Blue Springs native and his bike riding dog Blue.

“Ah, he has been riding for 9 years and been coast to coast with me. He use to work with me. I worked at Wheeler Roofing in Tupelo,” said Bervia Hooghouse/Blue Springs Biker.

“During our peak time we are expecting probably 25 to 30 thousand people here,” said Donnie Hanson/Bike Rally Organizer.
