TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Bond is set for the man accused of pulling the trigger in a weekend shooting in Tupelo.

Paris Buchanan is charged with shooting into a motor vehicle. His bond is set at $50,000 thousand.

The charges stem from an incident at Nathaniel Place Apartments, the former Barley Court, late Sunday morning.

Buchanan and two other men, Dontae Randle and Quatavious Gates, got into an argument with another person when, according to police, Buchanan took a gun from Randle and fired.

He missed his intended target, but hit a car with three children inside.

Misdemeanor charges have been filed against Randle and Gates, and Tupelo Police are still actively investigating the incident.
