Video: Boys and Girls Club Celebrates Good Grades

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Members of the Haven Acres Boys and Girls Club in Tupelo had a back to school pep rally.

There was food , along with an awards ceremony, where youngsters were recognized for making good grades, and also having regular attendance at the club.

Parents, friends and community leaders were invited to attend the Pep Rally. The club’s unit director says she hopes the event shows the children that hard work pays off.

“I hope they see the Boys and Girls Club as a fun experience and that they look forward to coming everyday and trying to show the community that, we are here and kids have fun when they come here.”

Parrish is the new unit director at the Haven Acres Boys and Girls Club.
