COLUMBUS, Miss.(WCBI)—Acting is a tough profession to break into, but for some girls The Edge Dance Studio is giving them just that… the “edge”.

Nyla Nash Entertainment, a company based in Nashville Tennessee, hosted auditions for girls ages five and up . If selected the girls will appear in a television pilot. The girls would also receive representation from Tina Marie Holland. Owner of The Edge Whitney Ferguson says when getting into the business of acting, having a leg up is key.

“Getting into acting in general is not an easy field. So having the right connections to get in then have this opportunity is amazing for our girls. Just the opportunity t have that one on one time with some body that’s already in the industry is a great experience,” says Ferguson.
