Video: Brooksville Swears In Mayor and Aldermen

BROOKSVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The town of Brooksville is looking forward to the next four years.

Brooksville’s city leaders were sworn in this evening..

Mayor David Boswell and the entire Board of Alderman were re-elected..

This will be the second term for all six members.

And they say they’re ready to continue working together to help the town grow.

“This is what we are out here to do. To support the people of the town of Brooksville, and we love everyone. We are coming from a small town, and we want to be supportive of one another. Like I say, whatever we can do for anyone we are here for them.”

The Challenger in the Brooksville mayoral race, Earlie Henley Jr., is contesting the results of the election.

Henley says absentee ballots were mishandled and should be thrown out. That would make him the winner.

Mayor David Boswell did not want to comment at this time.
