COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – From marching bands and dancers to floats, horses, clowns, cars and beauty queens, the Christmas season kicked into high gear tonight with parades in at least 10 towns across Northeast Mississippi.
One of the biggest was the annual Columbus Christmas parade which wound 30 blocks through the historic downtown.
A record crowd lined Main and College streets to enjoy the music, pageantry and holiday characters, including Santa Claus.
Judges had to pick winners from more than a dozen floats and make tough choices in other categories.
WCBI anchors Andrew Harrison and Aundrea self didn’t miss out on the fun.
