Video: Columbus Police Release Surveillance Video of Possible Vending Machine Bandits

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus police release video of a vehicle possibly driven by coin thieves.

The black SUV can be seen driving through a store parking lot.  Later it pulls up closely to a vacuum machine, near Highway 45.

Three Sprint Marts have been hit in Columbus.

Investigators say the crooks are pulling in and breaking the machines open. The company tells officers that machines in Columbus, Starkville,and Tupelo have been hit, with more than 20 thousand dollars lost statewide.

Officers ask customers to watch activity around the machines to help them catch the thieves.
