Video: Community College Faculty Seek Funding From Lawmakers

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) — The Mississippi Faculty Association for Community and Junior Colleges is asking legislators to raise mid level funding for the 15 junior and community colleges.

Legislation passed in 2007 gave the the schools a little more than five thousand dollars per student. However, only three  thousand has made it back to the campuses…which is about half of the money promised. The organization says the money is needed to keep tuition affordable and to attract quality instructors.
