OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Affidavit ballots are counted in Oktibbeha County today after a voting machine break down causes some confusion.

An encoder broke down during Tuesday’s election, resulting in eight votes being cast via emergency ballot.

About 40 votes were thrown out Wednesday; however, the results of the races did not change.

Election officials still have some work to do. In the coming days, 12 votes that had voter ID issues will be confirmed or rejected.
