OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-The trial for a Starkville man accused of murdered has been continued. Dennis Thompson is charged with Murder connection with a 2010 graduation night shooting. He is charged with killing 25-year-old Curtis Randle and wounding three other people. His trial has been rescheduled for July 22nd. According to court records, Thompson confessed to the shooting after turning himself into police. His family says he was being assaulted by gang members who had been harassing him for months and that he picked the gun up off the ground during the assault and started firing. Thompson is being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail.
