VIDEO: Distinguish Men Of Color Banquet

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – Twenty five men are recognized in Macon today for their academic achievements.

Saturday evening the Noxubee County chapter of the Distinguished Men Of Color held their annual gala.

Among those honored were a doctor, a lawyer, several business executives, and educators. They all have one thing in common.

They graduated from Noxubee County High School.  The gala was held at Macon’s Civic Center.

The Macon Chapter of the Distinguished Men Of Color uses the banquet to help raise funds.

Those funds help provide scholarships to college bound high school seniors.

Rod Hickman served as master of ceremony.
Hickman is a 2007-graduate of Noxubee County High School.
Earlier this year he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University Of Mississippi’s Law School.
