VIDEO: EMCC Keeping The Course Green

COLUMBUS, Miss.(WCBI)- The East Mississippi Community College Turf Management students are busy going green.

Over the summer students switched the greens on holes 10 through 18 at the Columbus Lions Hill Golf Course, from Tif-Ward to a Tif-Eagle.

The new greens will last up to 15 years.

Lions Hill Director Cheryl Hubbard says it’ll allow golfers a better playing experience and gives the community a chance to see the hard work of the students.

” We just want to let everybody know to come out and play our greens and come out and support Lions Hills. Our school and all the administrators support it and this is how our students learn and they learn here on this facility which is a public facility,”said Hubbard.

The same turf is featured at Mossy Oak, Starkville Country Club and Ole Miss.
