Video: Family Escapes House Fire in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-A Columbus family makes it out just in time after their home catches fire.

The Columbus and Lowndes County Fire Departments were called to the 200 block of North Pierce Road around 4 A.M. Thursday.

Smoke was billowing from the roof of the home. Five people where inside at the time of the blaze.

The home owner says he woke up and found a wall of his home completely engulfed in flames. He says he tried to put out the fire but it spread too quickly.

No injuries were reported. Fire Fighters are still investigating the cause.
