VIDEO: Fire Works On The Water Celebration

COLUMBUS, Miss.(WCBI)—The Columbus Air Force Base is partnering with the Army Corp of Engineers to pull out all the stops to celebrate Independence Day.

Fireworks On The Water will once again be on the East bank of the Stennis Lock and Dam.

It all happens Saturday, July 1st.

The event is free to the public. There will be live music, children activities, food, a warbird flyover, and an 18 minute firework show.

Second Lt. Savannah Stephens has this advice for people who are planning on spending the afternoon and evening at the Lock and Dam.

“Bring your lawn chairs, bring your blankets, bring your bug spray, sun screen, and bring your friends and family. We want this to be an awesome family event. That’s why it’s free and family friendly. Please leave your firearms at home, skate boards, scooters, and please leave the fireworks to us,”said Stephens.

The event will kick off at 5pm.
