Video: Guntown Hosts 2nd Amendment Rally

GUNTOWN, Miss. (WCBI) — What town in Mississippi would seem the most likely location for a rally of folks who believe in the Second Amendment?

Guntown, of course. Gun owners from all over the area came to the Guntown city park for a rally supporting a citizen’s right to bear arms.

First term city alderman Chad McMahan spearheaded the effort.

“We’re the only city in the Untied States with the name of Guntown,” McMahan said. “And I thought what an appropriate place to have a Second Amendment rally. And we’re actually looking a gun manufacturer or an ammunitions manufacturer who would like to come and do business in Guntown. What better place to have a national headquarters than Guntown, Mississippi.”

McMahan says he appreciates the pro-gun attitude of the vast majority of Mississippians.
