VIDEO: Hundreds Come Out To Be A Part Of 2nd Annual trunk Or Treat
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)-Halloween may be one day away but that didn’t stop kids in Starkville from getting an early start to the festivities.
Hundreds of kids dressed up in their costumes and had their candy buckets in hand ready to indulge in this years Trunk or Treat.
There were bounce houses on hand for kids to play in, as well as a Haunted Egg Hunt and a Haunted House.
City leaders joined Starkville Police and firefighters to pass out goodies and to be a part of this year’s event.
“One great thing about this, we are in a circle, you know everybody. We have th fire department out, we have the police out, we have our city and staff out, so everyone is here. It’s a very safe and clean environment. We have adult supervision all around the park, we are in a good secluded place, you don’t have to worry about traffic, your kids running out in front of cars or knocking on the door and you don’t know who’s behind the door. Everybody is here, we’re having fun and everybody is working together,” said Herman Peters, Director of Starkville Parks and Recreation.
This is the second year that Starkville Parks and Recreation has hosted this event.
