VIDEO: Hundreds Spend Their Thanksgiving Tailgating At The Junction

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- If you were in Starkville on Thursday, not only did you see a big crowd on hand, but there’s also a chance you may have smelled some hot food cooking on the grill.

The Junction at Mississippi State played host to hundreds of families this year who spent their Thanksgiving tailgating.

Both MSU and Ole Miss fans were cooking up big meals in light of the big game.

Turkey and dressing, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, along with other fixings were all on the menu.

Several families tell us they enjoy the friendly and family atmosphere that made this year’s tailgate so unique and special.

“Just to experience the atmosphere is overwhelming and to see all these people and all the effort they put in to it, you can tell there’s a lot of enthusiasm for the school and football team,” said Rusty McClendon, who drove more than three hours to tailgate with his son.

“We all get them out ready, getting games on TV , getting ready for the tailgate, then we get things set up and head into the game and we’re all excited and ready to say hail state,” said Cheryl Glenn, who’s tailgated at MSU for six consecutive years.
