Video: Incident Report Released on Deadly Officer-Involved Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The city of Columbus provided an incident report to WCBI, Friday, about the night of the deadly officer involved shooting.

The report states Ricky Ball got out of the passenger side of the of a vehicle.

It says Ball resisted arrest and was tased by an officer.

Then the report says Ball pointed a pistol at an officer, then Ball was shot and ran off.

A nine millimeter handgun was found near the 26-year-old when officers located him between two houses about 25 minutes after the gunfire. That gun was reported stolen by an unidentified Columbus officer back in August.

In a press release, CPD says specifics surrounding why Ball was shot remain under investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
