VIDEO: Judge Makes Ruling In Okolona City Marshal Race

OKOLONA, Miss. (WCBI)- The Okolona city marshal’s race has been the talk of the town for nearly five months now.

On Monday, a judge ruled that Tommie Ivy Sr., is the winner and the new city marshal.

This means current city marshall William Randle will now have to step down from the position.

In May Randle defeated Ivy by one vote.

However Ivy believed some of the ballots were mishandled, and as a result, he filed a lawsuit against the Democratic Executive Committee and Randle.

Randle plans to appeal Monday’s decision.
