TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – The race is not over for District 3 Lee County Justice Court Judge. As we first reported Wednesday, a software glitch doubled and tripled votes in four precincts, which affected results for the race between incumbent Sadie Holland and Republican challenger Phyllis Dye.

On Tuesday evening, numbers showed Dye had defeated Holland by a slim margin. However, once the error was discovered, and votes were re counted, Holland held a 57 vote lead.

Lee County Circuit Clerk Joyce Loftin says there are still about 200 affidavit ballots that will be opened and counted Friday morning by the Election Commission.

No other races were affected and Loftin says this is the first time a glitch like this has occurred in the county.
