VIDEO: Local Church Offers ‘Life Changing’ Christmas Trees

TUPELO , MISS. (WCBI) – It is time to get your Christmas tree, and one Tupelo church is selling trees, to make a difference in the lives of others.

Cornerstone Church kicked off an outreach called “Buy A Tree, Change A Life.”  For the next 17 days, people can stop by the church, pick out a tree, and proceeds will be split between an orphanage in Cambodia, and Plantersville Middle School.

The church’s outreach pastor says Cornerstone’s Southaven campus began the project last year, and this Christmas season, the Tupelo campus received 300 trees to sell.

“We’re called outside of the four walls and that’s the biggest thing we can do is be servants for the body of Christ.  That’s a big thing with missions, when people see you outside of the church to help others, that’s what the Bible talks about. the golden rule, do unto others as you want them to do unto you,” said Pastor Michael Stamps.

Cornerstone Church is located at 1921 Briar Ridge Road. “Buy A Tree Change A Life” runs through December 10th.
