VIDEO: Local Program Connects Children To Their Heroes
WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI)- First responders are real life heroes to many, but to kids they can be idols.
The Kids and Heroes Together or K.A.H.T. program knows this very well and stopped by Church Hill Elementary in West Point this morning.
The program allows first responders to “adopt” a classroom and then provide special programs for the children.
Volunteers can read to the class, eat lunch and participate in many other class activities.
Kids and Heroes Together says its mission is to bring the community together while teaching area kids about important safety issues.
