Video: Long-Time Restaurant Employee Excited About Grand Re-Opening

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Along with many area diners, there is another local resident especially excited about the opening of Vanelli’s Bistro.

Carrie Bradley has worked for Vanelli’s for forty-one years. She started working for the famed restaurant when it was located on South Gloster Street, where Dossett Big Four is now located.

Bradley was there when Vanelli’s moved to a larger location on North Gloster and says she was devastated when the restaurant was destroyed by a tornado on April 28 2014.

The longtime employee is excited to be part of the third incarnation of Vanelli’s .

Bradley says despite the changes, she isn’t worried that the restaurant won’t do well.

“For me this is where I started, helping Papa and that I’m helping his son, Bill, rebuild and we are going to rebuild downtown Tupelo on Main Street. It’s going to be a different set up but we are going to do good because we have got good food.”

Bradley is working as a hostess at Vanelli’s Bistro. She says it was great seeing a lot of familiar faces on opening.
