COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A send off tonight for a long time member of the Columbus police department. Officers gathered to say farewell to Lieutenant Oscar Lewis. Lewis has served with Columbus police for two decades climbing through the ranks from patrol officer to spots in the detectives and narcotics divisions. Lewis is leaving the city for the chance to run his own department as he takes over as Chief of Police in Waynesboro
